Motivation
Furthermore Denise’s inspiration to create self-help books for toddlers to teens was motivated by her experience mentoring young people.
‘As someone always surrounded by children -mum of three, the second eldest of 8 siblings, and as an Arts teacher. Over the past 10 years I have been increasingly saddened to see the lack of motivation and hope in some of the young people and young adults I have met on my mentoring journey. Many let down by literacy and numeracy, the lack of positive role models and many from a lack of self belief and faith in their individual talents.’
What’s more Denise’s books aim to support parents in developing their children’s mental confidence. Through literacy, numeracy and self-help tools- backed by Christian values. Her work over the next few years will outline a strategy for helping parents build positive and mentally resilient toddlers to teens.
‘I hope to achieve this through sharing my knowledge of self-help and personal development in my Picture books and Young Adult Fantasy books- with immersive stores and imaginative childhood characters that young people will love and engage with!”
Finally Denise also has a series of Young Adult books under the pen name D. F. McKeever sharing her knowledge of self-help, personal development and business.
